Rael urges adoption of new political system: Paradism
LAS VEGAS, Sept. 18 – Rael, founder and leader of the International Raelian Movement (IRM), has proposed a political system called paradism, which he says is ideal for solving the problems of today’s troubled world.
“Paradism is similar to communism but has no ‘proletariat’ or workforce,” he said in a statement released today by the IRM. “In paradism, robots, nanobots and computers take the place of human workers.”
When enacted, the new system would render money obsolete, Rael said.
“All production, services and tools provided by robots are free under paradism,” he explained. “Communism failed because a proletariat created inefficiencies. Without the motivation of financial gain, people had no incentive to work hard or to come up with creative solutions. Automated production eliminates that problem. Computers and robots can be programmed for 100 percent efficiency, and they don’t need rest, sleep or time off for holidays.”
Under paradism, elected politicians would work only out of devotion to humanity.
“They would have no financial advantage or powers,” Rael emphasized.
But he added that paradism, however desirable and fair, must first be accepted democratically by a population that “understands the advantages of a world without money.”
“Once paradism is in place, all goods and services will be available to every person free of charge,” he said. “That world is coming soon anyway. Robots already produce cars with very few humans involved, and even those few will soon be completely replaced by robots. And surgeon robots are already performing tasks more precisely than human surgeons can. In fact, everything human beings can do can be done better by robots.”
Rael said people will soon be able to let robots do all the work and use their lives to do whatever they like – researching and studying, creating or achieving self-development.
“Under these conditions, the world will finally reach the level of paradise,” he said. “That is why this system is called paradism.”
Raelians believe all life on our planet was created by the Elohim, scientists from another solar system who created Earth’s humans “in their own image” through genetic engineering techniques thousands of years ahead of ours.
“A paradist system is already in place on the Elohim planet, and it’s the only possible next step for humanity,” Rael said. “It’s a process that leads to mondialization – nationalization on a worldwide scale – and that process leads naturally to a world government, under which the mondialization of all world resources is a matter of simple justice for all humanity.”
Rael said paradism can’t arrive a moment too soon.
“I hope people will start paradist political parties all around the planet,” he said. “Paradism is coming soon anyway, but the sooner the better. It can prevent additional human suffering that will otherwise result from the more devastating economic upheaval that still lies ahead.”
Asked for more details, he said, “All economic and financial systems currently in use will fail worldwide. Paradism will take their place and create a better world for everyone.”
