Gay Priests welcome as Priests in the Raelian Movement
While Pope Benedict is afraid to be prosecuted for rejecting priesthood candidates on the basis of sexual orientation, the Raelian Movement reaffirms its pleasure to welcome catholic gay priests as priests of the Raelian Movement so that they can have a spiritual life without the guilt imposed by the catholic dogma.
Rael, leader of the Raelian Movement, has repeatedly requested that all religious scriptures be reviewed by a committee that would determine whether they respect the Human Rights declaration or not and that would enforce removal of any part of these texts or teachings that do not respect it.
“To deny Equality on the basis of religious beliefs like Pope Benedict does is another example of how the old Religions poison our society' said Glenn Carter, leader of the British Raelian Movement. ' One cannot use the Human Rights declaration and its part related to the right of belief to justify one's action if the philosophy behind the beliefs doesn't respect the Human Rights, it is pure logic.
'The Raelian Movement consists of a large number of homosexual priests and members alike. ARAMIS was set up as by Rael for all homosexual/bisexual members and consequently ARAMIS has brought much awareness in the gay community about the 'human right' to be homosexual as it is as natural to be homosexual as being heterosexual, natural referring to the genetic foundation of our sexual orientation.
Rael even stated today that 'the other advantage of becoming a priest in the Raelian Movement is the fact that they will be amongst the privileged ones who will welcome Jesus back on earth, contrary to the Vatican usurpers'.
