Rael Rainbow Team praises Marc Miller’s courage and calls for an end to hate speech

The Rael Rainbow Team (link: https://linktr.ee/raelrainbowteam), a movement promoting universal love, freedom, and respect for human diversity applauds the courage of Marc Miller, Canada’s Minister of Immigration, who publicly denounced passages in the Bible that incite hatred toward LGBTQ+ people.

According to Denise Desrochers, head of the Rael Rainbow Team in Canada, “the minister’s message resonates deeply with the values of Raelian philosophy, which affirms that every human being is a unique and precious creation, free to love according to his or her nature. No ancient text should justify fear, shame, or exclusion.”
Passages from Leviticus, for example, have long been used to justify discrimination, and even violence, against homosexual people.
Among the texts covered: Old Testament
• Leviticus 18:22 — “You shall not lie with a male as with a female. It is an abomination.”
• Leviticus 20:13 — “If a man lies with a male as with a female, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall be put to death.”
