The International Raelian Movement marks its annual Swastika Rehabilitation Day and invites the world to connect the symbol with ongoing revelations
Montreal, Canada – June 27, 2026 — On the occasion of International Swastika Rehabilitation Day, observed on the last Saturday of June, the International Raelian Movement invites the public and the media to rediscover the original meaning of this ancient symbol and to connect it with the ongoing revelations about the origin of life.
Long before its misuse in the 20th century, the swastika was universally recognized as a symbol of peace and harmony, representing the eternal cycles of life. It appeared in countless cultures across all inhabited continents for thousands of years.
“For decades, we have worked to restore the true meaning of this symbol, which remains deeply misunderstood in the West,” said Martin Hétu, spokesperson for the Raelian Movement.
According to the Raelian teachings, the swastika is part of the Symbol of Infinity, the emblem of the Elohim—the extraterrestrial civilization responsible for creating all life on Earth. The swastika represents infinity in time, while the Star of David represents infinity in space.
